CHALLENGES AND NEW PERSPECTIVES IN THE TRAINING OF UNIVERSITY MUSICIANS
Synopsis
The last decades have brought with them the birth of different spaces for higher level music education in Mexico. Each institution prioritizes its needs and investigates its practices in order to modify and improve them. In this process, academics need to dialogue with their peers. Convinced of this need, the members of the Academic Body UAA-CA-117, Education and Knowledge of Music, of the Department of Music of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, are pleased to respond with this publication.
The music of those who have been setting the standard is already beginning to be heard in a compass that marks challenges and new perspectives in the formation of university musicians. This selection of works that we offer for your kind consideration offers explanations and reflections on some of the most urgent problems in the spaces of musical education at a higher level.
