THE GODS OF STEALTH
Synopsis
The nature of Aguascalientes is offered to us in Los dioses del sigilo, by Thercy Arvizu, converted into poetry, and that lyrical tone confers on what is named a sacred, transcendent aura, in which a temporality different from the human one is breathed. This book also has a certain air of prayer, or rather, of invocation, but without ceasing to establish an intimate and close dialogue with all that is enunciated.
The author plays at being each of these trees and animals she names, and from this playful game she raises her song: “I have seen the light and its polychromies, / I have felt the diversity of the wind”. Thus, trees, birds, a whole natural multiplicity is revealed full of life, pulsating, suggestive.
Obviously, this profoundly ecological book invites us to reflect on our place on the planet and the meaning we have assigned to flora and fauna within the whole of life, which our rapacious supremacy often bends and devastates. Charm and love for nature are undoubtedly the most defining features of this book.
